Release of DCP Specification Version 1.0 at Modelica Conference 2019
Finally, the release of the DCP specification document version 1.0 is scheduled for this year’s International Modelica Conference. The conference will take place from March 4-6 2019 at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, Germany. Checkout the website for details.
The Distributed Co-Simulation Protocol represents a novel communication protocol for the integration of real-time systems and simulation environments. It emerged out of the ACOSAR project. The consortium applied for a Modelica Association Project (MAP), which was successfully granted in August 2018. The Modelica Association fosters the use of open source licenses. The DCP specification will be available in a free and open manner, which shall ensure continuous development and sustainable use of the standard. Next to the specification document accompanying materials will also be published, including XSD schema files, a reference implementation, and a test tool.
Industry User Session
An Industry User Session will be scheduled during the Regensburg event. Speakers from major companies will talk about their first hand experience using the DCP. Contributions to this session are made by Boeing Research and Technology Europe, VIRES Simulationstechnologie GmbH, AVL List GmbH, and VIRTUAL VEHICLE Research Center.
The scientific conference during the Regensburg event will include one full paper highlighting technical novelties of the DCP. This talk will be given by VIRTUAL VEHICLE’s MAP DCP leader Martin Krammer.
